Monday morning you can check your Sim mailbox for a jury summons.
There’s a 75 % chance you will not be summoned.
25 % chance you will be Summoned.
If summoned, the sim will get a buff.
You will have two options: Apply for an Exemption or Report to Jury Duty.
To apply for an exemption, look under the travel menu:
There are seven exemptions, and it’s a 50/50 chance you may get one applied. The only exemption that is set to 100 % is the Royal Family exemption.
If you don’t win an exemption or if you don’t fit any of them, you will be required to report to jury duty. It’s also on the travel menu:
There’s a chance of being an alternate juror($500) , dismissed jury($100), or an actual juror ($500) Simoleons are paid.
Jury duty lasts four to six hours. There’s 11 different buffs with various moods you can get from reporting to jury duty. Here is one example:
There’s four drama nodes that can possibly run:
A text from the judge saying thank you
A text from a criminal saying to watch your back
A media member invites you to do an interview – If you accept, a phone interaction will show to complete an interview and you will be paid.
A fellow jury asks you to hangout – You’ll travel to a select venue with them.

Reveal Jury Information – If you use this interactions, there is a chance the court may find out. It’s a 25 % chance you will be exposed. Sims will get this buff when they reveal confidential information:
If you are exposed for leaking jury information, this notification will show:
A phone interaction will then appear to resolve the issue:
There are two outcomes: One is you get a warning, the second one is a fine of 500 Simoleons.
Take Leave (Jury Duty)
Sims who are in a career can take jury duty. It puts them “on vacation” and you don’t lose any vacation days.
