This is a new mod that allows Sims who are laid off or not working to apply for an unemployment check. The interaction appears under the work category on your Sims phone and Sims will go to the Ministry of Labor (rabbithole) for up to 180 minutes. You will need to have one a layoff or fired buff to see the interaction.
Sims will receive this notification when returning. As long as your Sim is not employed, they will receive a weekly check on Monday around 8 AM. A random amount of 500-1000 Simoleons.
If the Sim gets a job, you will lose your weekly unemployment check.
